A Historic cathedral

We are thrilled that you are considering The Cathedral of All Souls for your wedding, and believe that you will find the magnificent architecture and attractive green spaces to be among the top picturesque settings in all of Western North Carolina.

The Cathedral of All Souls is an Episcopal church located in the historic village of Biltmore in Asheville, North Carolina. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, All Souls was completed in 1896 as the parish church in Biltmore Village for the nearby Biltmore Estate. It was designated the Cathedral of the Episcopal Diocese of Western North Carolina in 1995. Designed by the renowned architect Richard Morris Hunt, All Souls features Romanesque revival architecture and a Greek Cross short nave, as well as beautiful stained glass windows and Frederick Law Olmsted inspired grounds. The cathedral can hold 250 guests, including the wedding party.

No Union More Profound

The Cathedral of All Souls welcomes all couples assuming that the requirements of the state are met for the issuance of a marriage license.

At All Souls we understand a marriage to be a spiritual and physical union, entered into by mutual consent of heart, mind and will. We therefore seek to create a joyful environment of commitment and celebration. All Souls exists to serve God and the community. It is not necessary that you be members of All Souls; however, all ceremonies will need to be approved by one of the clergy of All Souls.
